Welcome to Grammar Check - AI Keyboard by Bright Byte Lab ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using our mobile application on Android, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the application, including any content, functionality, and services offered through it.

2. Nature of Service (AI Disclaimer)

Grammar Check - AI Keyboard utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to provide grammar checking, paraphrasing, translation, text-to-speech, and writing suggestions.

3. Eligibility

The application is rated 3+ and is intended for users of all ages. By using this application, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 13, we recommend using the app under parental or guardian supervision.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to the text you input into the application. We do not claim ownership of your writing or any content generated from your inputs.

The app itself, including its design, logo, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of Bright Byte Lab and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the application.

5. User Conduct

By using the app, you agree not to:

• Use the app to generate hateful, harassing, defamatory, or illegal content.
• Attempt to bypass any subscription limits or paywalls through unauthorized means.
• Use the app in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden our servers or infrastructure.
• Use automated bots, scripts, or other tools to access the service in an abusive or unauthorized manner.
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others using our service.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Grammar Check - AI Keyboard from Bright Byte Lab offers paid subscriptions and premium features. The following terms apply:

• Payments are processed through the Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.
• Prices are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any pricing changes.

7. Refund Policy

All purchases made through Grammar Check - AI Keyboard are processed by the Google Play Store. The following refund terms apply:

• Refund requests are governed by Google Play's refund policy. You may be eligible for a refund within 48 hours of purchase through Google Play.
• We do not process or issue refunds directly. All refund requests must be submitted through the Google Play Store.
• Unused portions of a subscription period are not refundable upon cancellation. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
• If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at brightbytelab@gmail.com and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
• We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we reasonably determine to be fraudulent or in violation of these Terms.

8. Permissions and Device Features

The application may request access to certain device features to provide its core functionality:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used for the voice-to-text (Speech-to-Text) feature. Audio is processed on-device and is not stored or uploaded to our servers.
• Clipboard: May be accessed temporarily to populate the text input field at your request. Contents are never stored or transmitted.
• Internet: Required to communicate with AI backend services for grammar checking, paraphrasing, and translation.

You may revoke any permission at any time through your device settings, which may limit certain features of the application.

9. Third-Party Services

Our app relies on trusted third-party services to provide its functionality. By using this application, you also agree to be bound by the terms of these services where applicable:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and analytics services.
• RevenueCat: Subscription and in-app purchase management.
• Gemini API (Google) & OpenAI (ChatGPT): Generative AI processing for grammar checking, paraphrasing, and translations.
• Google Play / Android SpeechRecognizer: On-device speech recognition for voice input.

We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of each third-party service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bright Byte Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or failure of academic or professional tasks arising from the use or inability to use this application.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms and Conditions or applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the application will immediately cease.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
